Here are six photos from William Forman, plankowner. They were taken in January 1948 off the coast of Australia by a photographer aboard the USS Valley Forge, CV-45.

I took this picture of USNS Mispillion at Subic Bay Philippines circa 1978. I was stationed at Cubi Point at the time. I made 7 Wespac Cruises on Kitty Hawk and Ranger and of all the ships we unrepped with, we unrepped with Mispillion the most by far. It was my favorite unrep ship and that's why I looked for your website. I know the picture is after Mispillion was decommissioned and was by the a USNS ship, but I hope maybe you can use it. I really like the detail in my black and white photo. It is my favorite picture from my 20 year career.

"It's not very good with all the ships in the background and from the distance the shot was taken but since she was on the end and we didn't get to go to that side to see it It's the best I have.
